The Viva Muddy Waters album was recorded live in 2006 and was my first effort as a producer for a renowned band that’s been on the road for so many years. In 2010, I worked on the production of their 25th anniversary DVD. It really is important to revisit your own history, for memory plays no tricks. I believe that the major point in that is to not only improve with time, but also not to lose essence and freshness. Without that, there’s no boldness.
